I have long been most at home simply being within a landscape, more part of it than a user or observer. Although making images inevitably separates the taker from the taken, I have attempted to communicate the experience of being in a landscape before anything else.

Over the years I have begun to notice that my work is showing the influence of years of meditation practice, with patient observation of the world becoming a feature of the images I make.
